WE ARE LOOKING FOR UKRAINE CANDIDATES
FOR ASAP JOINING FOR THE FOLLOWING 2 POSITIONS:  
 
STATEROOM STEWARD: 1,146-1,260 EUR
 
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Daily cleaning of approximately 18 staterooms
  • Cleaning of public areas, toilets and reception area according to requirements
  • Correct handling of guest laundry
  • Control and distribution of externally cleaned laundry and uniforms
  • Correct and careful handling of all cleaning products, materials and housekeeping equipment Rotating laundry duty incl. washing, ironing and folding activities
  • Checking and reporting technical defects of staterooms to the supervisor / reception
  • Luggage duty on embarkation and disembarkation day
  • Organization and planning of embarkation / disembarkation
  • Preparation of opening and closing ships at start and end of season 
  • Active participation in onboard training programs, etc

Requirements: 

  • High school diploma required
  • Minimum of 2 years previous experience required in an upscale cruise line or hotel of comparable size in the similar position in the scope of the Housekeeping department
  • Good English communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, service-oriented and guest focused
  • Must be able to deal correctly with confidential information and must be discrete
  • Must be well groomed and maintain impeccable hygiene standards
  • Extensive walking required and ability to stand on feet for a long time

CHEF DE PARTIE (COOK): 1,270-1,480 EUR


Responsibilities: 

•    Professional preparation and distribution of daily meals including breakfast, lunch, tea time, dinner, etc. for crew and guests in accordance with Executive Chef manual and menu cycle
•    Ordering of stock in cooperation with Executive Chef
•    Correct handling of all products and equipment
•    Conducting stock takes; inventory according to company procedures
•    Preparation to open and close ships at start and end of season
•    Active participation in onboard training programs
•    Luggage duty on embarkation and disembarkation day

Requirements: 
•    Min. 2 years professional experience in hotel /catering industry/ restaurants
•    International experience /ship experience is an asset

You ensure clean crockery and are in charge of absolute cleanliness and tidiness in the scullery in accordance with Viking River Cruises Standards.
 
2d purser admin: salary 2,700EUR/ 6 months contract 
 
Requirements: 
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in the Pursers department on board a vessel.
  • Fluent English language, written and spoken. Additional language is an advantage.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Computer knowledge (MSWord, Excel. Outlook) MXP is an advantage
  • Knowledge of Clearance and Visa requirements in international waters for both crew & passengers.
  • International experience / shipboard experience is required

  • Good Basic food and beverage knowledge
  • Positive attitude, engaging personality and passion for guest services

BARTENDER: salary $2,300/month

Requirements:

  • Graduated education in hotel / catering industry
  • Min. 2 years professional experience in 4 or 5 star bar operation
  • MUST have shipboard experience in the APPLIED position 
  • Excellent English skills, other languages are an asset
  • Excellent management, organizational and communication skills
  • Very good beverage knowledge (wines, cocktails etc.)

WINE STEWARD: salary $2,015/month

Asst. Stateroom Steward/ess = 1'645usd/month, 7 month contract

Requirements: 

  • 1-2 years of previous work experience in the capacity of Asst. Stateroom Steward
  • Previous ship experiences necessary

Hotel Custodial/ Utility = 767usd/month, 7 month contract

Requirements: 

  • 1 year previous cleaning experience of some level (hotel or ship)

Viking Ocean Cruises established a new training program for Galley utility cleaners to grow till Chef positions! 

Program description:
 

  1. You apply for a Galley Utility Cleaner position.⠀
  2. Successful new hires will be given an introductory training for Galley Utility Cleaner and you must work your 1st full contract as Galley Utility cleaner.⠀
  3. On the second contract you can request to follow a career progression plan and get 2-3 months training for asst.cook position.⠀
  4. Upon successful completion of training period, Executive Chef, Sanitation Officer and HR Mgr. will provide a training assessment to transfer the crew member. Transfers are only available if there are available slots without impacting the ongoing rotation plans. ⠀
  5. You may continue growing your career with Viking up to Chef position on the next contracts! It all depends on you only!
